Overview:

The Peperomia Green Plant, belonging to the Peperomia genus, is a delightful and compact houseplant known for its lush, green foliage and easy-care nature. With over a thousand species, Peperomias are prized for their variety of leaf shapes, sizes, and textures. This plant is perfect for small spaces and adds a touch of greenery to any indoor environment.

Key Features:

  • Attractive, lush green foliage
  • Compact and low-growing habit
  • Easy to care for and adaptable to various indoor conditions

Care Guide:

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate low light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Watering: Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly but infrequently, ensuring the pot has good drainage to prevent root rot. Reduce watering in winter.

Soil: Well-draining potting mix. A mix with peat moss and perlite or sand works well.

Temperature & Humidity: Thrives in temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C). Prefers moderate to high humidity but can adapt to average indoor humidity levels.

Fertilization: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Fertilization can be reduced or stopped in winter.

Pruning: Pruning is generally not necessary, but you can pinch back the growing tips to encourage bushier growth and remove any yellow or dead leaves to maintain appearance.

Pests & Diseases: Generally resistant to pests but can occasionally attract mealybugs, spider mites, or aphids. Treat with insecticidal soap or neem oil if necessary. Ensure proper watering to prevent root rot and fungal issues.

Size & Growth:

  • Mature Height: 6-12 inches
  • Mature Spread: 6-12 inches
  • Growth Rate: Slow to medium

Usage: Ideal for indoor decoration, particularly in small spaces such as desks, shelves, and windowsills. Its lush foliage and compact size make it a perfect addition to terrariums and mixed plant arrangements.
